Intro

Growing up, I was always outdoors. It has always been a place of excitement and rest – whether soaking in the sunsets on Lake Michigan, observing insects going about their busy routine in a meadow, or the “silence” found trekking in the woods. Since picking up a camera more than 15 years ago, I’ve enjoyed working with a variety of subjects, but mostly portraiture. Capturing expressions, personalities and contextual environments is fascinating and unique to each story. Over the past few years, I made the switch to explore the wilds from behind the lens. The change has been rewarding, awakening a lot of the fascination with nature from childhood. I’m excited to see where this goes.
